MOSCOW, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Digital Development Ministry will prepare new measures to support the IT industry because of the coronavirus spread, the authority said on Tuesday in a statement.
The priority support measures, including a income tax deferral until 2021, a zero payroll tax, provision of the right to the employers to cut salaries, but by no more than 20% temporarily or agree with the employees on the days off with only half of salary paid, were outlined at a meeting with the industry’s top firms.
The IT companies want value-added tax to be reduced for the most popular activities during the pandemic and the advance payment on state contracts to be increased to 50%.
After the discussion, the ministry will prepare final suggestions and submit them to the government.
